I've been to pretty much all the sushi restaurants in Simi and Hikari, by far, has one of the freshest sushi. Try their premium selection and you won't be disappointed. Their Uni is the sweetest and the creamiest I've ever had.

First time here. We were really pleased. First, Vivian is so smiley and bubbly, she's a pleasure. And a good, natural sense of humor, having fun with the clientele. Her perpetual smile is refreshing! The food was beautiful. Sushi rolls and bento boxes were all MUCH bigger than expected. Seriously, beautifully prepared, not just pretty, but tasty. What a delicious, satisfying meal. Great place to celebrate your birthday. The owner played a loud music to celebrate our birthday event while the whole staff joined in, wow! The Dragon Roll, Eskolar, Tuna Rolls, Baked Scallops were fresh and tasted sweet and creamy; they practically melts in your mouth. The lady cashier and perhaps owner was very friendly, staff attended to our needs like family and the restaurant was a perfect place to spend dinner and celebrate too. I'd say, it's one of the best restaurants in Simi Valley and it's great to live in this city. During the pandemic, we bought a lot of their food since they offered 50 percent off, too. We discovered Hikari Sushi during the pandemic, and we have continued to visit. It's one of our favorite lunch spots. The food is fantastic. I usually order a bento box special and an order of shrimp shumai. My daughter orders all types of sushi and has loved all of it. The sushi will come out quickly. The bento box and other items from the kitchen will take a little longer. It is well worth the wait. Sometimes, the service is slow, but the restaurant is always busy, and the servers are running around keeping up the best they can. Be patient. They will get to you. The servers are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is small, and as I said, it does get busy at lunch and dinner. Sometimes, the wait can be long. It is worth it. The wait can also be long if you order to-go food during the busy times. There is plenty of parking.
